Powder Springs Elementary School Reviews

This was my son's first year at Powder Springs. I have to say that we had a very pleasant year. His teacher was great. If I had any concerns she worked with us to resolve them. My son learned so much this year, thanks to his teacher Mrs. Schatz and the Powder Springs Staff. Everyone there made us feel very welcome, down to the janitors. We had a great experience this year and hope it continues through my son fifth grade year.

Welcome to Ms Mitchell she give's powdersprings a warm family feeling just what the school needed.the Assistant principal not very professional or friendly..there's a lot of great teachers this year so I look forward to great year..with Ms Mitchell and all those wonderful Teacher's.

I would like to welcome Mrs. Mitchell as she's exactly what PSE needed. This will be our 2nd year at PSE. Last year I had reservations and was tempted to pull them out on several occassions. However, it's day 4 and I've already seen so many positive changes...beginning with leadership. I ultimately think if you're a great leader-your teachers will follow. Both my girls have great teachers this year and I'm looking forward to a wonderful exciting year. The school even have a more warmer/comfortable setting upon walking through the doors!!! Great Changes!!!! Oh, and you actually hear the principal on the intercome throughout the day!!!

It's only 3 day's into the new school year already it's a mess. First I welcome our new principal Ms.Mitchell she just what the school needed a principal that will listen to what u have to say. The assistance Principal Mr.Childress another story. But the school is still a great one.

I had two children who attended this school and decided to pull them out at the end of the 1st term. I was so dissatisfied with my son's teacher's teaching and classroom management skills. She was unable to teach him how to do handwriting, writing sentences, reading, etc. and she would never send home any homework or work he had done from school. I was totally unaware of what he was learning in class, and when it was time for progress reports, weeks after school started I was told what he needed to work on. I have to say that the assistant principal at the school is very unprofessional, unresponsive to the parent's needs, and defensive.

I am a teacher at the school, as well as a parent of a student. I have taught all of the country and this school goes above and beyond most schools. The teachers are professional and expect the best of their students. The school is a welcoming place for all. The grounds are kept well and the halls are full of student work.

This school has the potential to become great. Unfortunately, we lost the majority of our teachers this year. The current principal's leadership is unfriendly and defensive. When problems arise the current administration is one of inaction and deflective of blame.

I have two children, one who has gone through Powder Springs and ne who is there now. It is a WONDERFUL school. The staff is dedicated to seeing the students succeed. The administrators are always up beat about the students doing the best that they can and always take that one step further in life. The music, computer lab teachers are wonderful working with the students daily during specials.

Our children were students at this school for two years. The dramatic change in their academic performance was astounding. The educators are indeed dedicated to their students. We're pround to have had our children attend this school. Proud parents

Powder Springs Elementary is an extraordinary school. The principal and many of the teachers are truly dedicated and devoted to their students. We have had 4 children go through this school and I can tell you that they cater to each students needs, whether it be the Target program or special needs. This is a school that will treat you and your child with respect and feel comfortable with their open door policy.
