Austell Primary School Reviews

This is my daughter's second year at APS and she absolutely loves her school. I am very impressed with the school's academics, organization, safety, cleaness, communication, and student/parent activities. The school's adminstration and staff is very carrying, warm, nuturing, and supportive of their students. I feel very comfortable that my child is receiving an excellent and safe education. I will miss the school next year when she is promoted to the second grade.

This is an excellent school. The teachers are very invested in student acheivement and growth. Our school environment is warm and friendly. Kindergarteners have great role models and things to look forward to as they watch the first graders set the tone with the Jump Rope team, Tumbling team, WLAM News team, and the Odyssey of the Mind team.

The Kindergarden program , so far as a multiage class goes is ok for students which are ready for this kind of environment.Such as those advanced for their ages. However I think smaller classes should be designed for those kids which are in need of more one on one type of teaching. Such as those who haven't quite mastered ABC's and counting. As well as things that those fortunate enough to go to pre-k or head start would be exposed to.Some don't get that advantage and need to have more one on one time to learn these things. So it is my opinion that in this area smaller classes should be offered.I further feel that there should be extracuricular activities offered for Kindergarden kids.such as jump rope,t-ball,tutoring all school year where needed, and those types of things. This school only offers this to first grade students.

Austell Primary is a top notch school for students in grades Pre-K through first. My daughter absolutely loves her teachers and never wants to leave. She is taught in a nurturing environment. The student/ teacher ratio is perfect. Students have extracurricular opportunities such as a Jump Rope and Tumbling team, News team, and an Odyssey of the Mind team. The principal and staff provide a home away from home atmosphere that makes students and parents feel welcomed.
